INTERNATIONAL SHOWTIME FOR DAVID!
Earlier this month, David, Lyndsey, Jenny and all the team from The Vault Hair and Spa in Claygate headed to the luxury Grand Real Santa Eulalia Resort in Portugal with Dave’s beloved milk_shake family for their annual milk_shake Summer Event.
The 3-day event that celebrates success and passion, featured an innovative Hair Show in the theme of the 70’s, an informative Look & Learn session with live demonstrations by David, the other milk_shake Ambassadors and the Creative Team.
THE SHOW
The Hair Show ‘Blue Velvet‘ opened the 3 day event and took the audience on an atmospheric journey through the 70’s, from Psychedelic to Punk to Androgony and Disco.
THE INSPIRATION
David showcased his spin on 70’s Punk fashion by opening his set with a style that wowed the crowd for sure. As his first model walked down the runway, the audience were blown away by David’s innovative style- smashed vinyl’s and cd’s placed on the side of the hair with some serious backcomb! The second gorgeous style proved that David has an incredibly creative imagination and passion to take hair to the next level by attaching BBQ grills to the head, weaving the hair in-between each grill and adding green and yellow colouring. David’s final design was what really confirmed his creativity as he attached shredded denim to the hair of his model and proceeded to cut it into a bob. Each style complimented his punk theme perfectly!
THE FINALE
The show-stopping moment came as the evening drew to a close and the models set the stage alight with an incredible 70’s dance-off that had all guests on the edge of their seats embracing the vibe and applauding the awesome fusion of hairdressing, dancing, music and team work that they had just witnessed.
THE Q & A
After an evening of celebration, the Creative team returned to the stage the following day for a Live Look & Learn followed by a Q&A with David, Shelley, Julian and Andrew. David is ecstatic at the number of messages and telephone calls that he has since received congratulating him on such a successful and inspirational event.
