Dave ‘The Vault’ Baker

David Vault Baker is the founder and brains behind The Vault Hair & Spa, Esher. David is also an award-winning hairdresser with an infectious passion for hairdressing. He is part of a Global Education team and travels across the world inspiring hairdressers with the very latest techniques as well creating inspirational new collections. In 2024 David joined forces with the renowned REF Stockholm as their UK Artistic Ambassador, a Swedish professional haircare brand built on high performance, sustainability, and ethical beauty. Everything David stands for!

He has an incredible reputation for creating strong, inspirational haircuts and his work is globally recognised within the hairdressing industry and can often be seen amongst the pages of various international magazines.

Dave has been a finalist in the British Hairdressing Awards in 2014, 2015, 2017, 2019 and 2025, winning the NHF Photographic Stylist Of The Year in 2016.

Founder

David Baker is a multi-award winning hairdresser, ambassador and salon owner with the utmost passion for creating strong, inspirational haircuts. Not only is he the founder and the brains behind The Vault Hair Salon, he is also a globally recognised hair artist and educator, traveling across the world inspiring other hairdressing talents. David's work is often published in international magazines, he has been a finalist six times in the British Hairdressing Awards and has recently won awards as one of the top curly hair specialists in the UK.

Sylwia Donczyk

Company Consultant

Senior stylist with over 28 years of experience. An extension and balayage specialist, Sylwia loves creating sun kissed balayage, with a soft finish to create as natural look as possible. Always trying to look for new techniques and products to make sure her clients receive the best there is to offer.

Callum Thayne

Senior Stylist

Callum started at the vault at the age of 15 and has grown his skills and knowledge over the years. Developing his relationships with his clients and his bonds with the creative industry. Gents hair is where Callum thrives, creating precise and sharp cuts for any and all hair styles and types.

Elvis

Senior Stylist

Ben aka Elvis joined us in November 2024. He's been a stylist for over 20 years in the London and Surrey area and has a wealth of experience in all aspects of hair.

Joanna Eden

Salon Manager

From the moment you walk in, to the moment you leave, Joanna is there to guarantee you have the best experience possible. Working behind the scenes to ensure we have the latest products on the shelves, the best content online and that the salon runs smoothly.

Apprentice

Lily is here to support the stylists ensuring you have the best experience whilst at The Vault. We are so proud of how far Lily has come and we are pleased to confirm she is all set to graduate in 2025! She looks forward to seeing you in her chair soon.
