Dave ‘The Vault’ Baker

David Vault Baker is the founder and brains behind The Vault Hair & Spa, Esher. David is also an award-winning hairdresser with an infectious passion for hairdressing. He is part of the z.one Concept Global Artistic team and travels across the world inspiring hairdressers with the very latest techniques as well creating inspirational new collections. David has worked as an Ambassador for milk_shake UK for 7 years and has been involved in the implementation of education and shows both in the UK and Europe.

He has an incredible reputation for creating strong, inspirational haircuts and his work is globally recognised within the hairdressing industry and can often be seen amongst the pages of various international magazines.

Dave, alongside Ben, has been a finalist in the British Hairdressing Awards in 2014, 2015 and 2017 and has also won NHF Photographic Stylist Of The Year in 2016.

Founder

David Baker is a multi-award winning hairdresser, ambassador and salon owner with the utmost passion for creating strong, inspirational haircuts. Not only is he the founder and the brains behind The Vault Hair Salon, he is also a globally recognised hair artist and educator, traveling across the world inspiring other hairdressing talents. David's work is often published in international magazines, he has been a finalist five times, alongside Ben in the British Hairdressing Awards and more recently won awards as one of the top curly hair specialists in the UK.

Ben Hendry

Company Director

Ben has been in the hair industry for over 10 years, he is passionate about both cutting and colouring. He has worked at the acclaimed London Fashion Week and has won several hair and colour competitions.
Ben has been a finalist a few times in the British hairdressing awards, this is the industry's most prestigious awards and puts Ben amongst the UK's best hairdressers.

Izzy Smith

Salon Manager and Company Consultant

Izzy has been at The Vault for 5 years, working in the industry for 15. In 2019 Izzy was a finalist in the prestigious British Hair Awards. She loves a transformation and making clients feel fabulous! She LOVES creating blondes, exploring new colours and styling with her signature wave.

Alex Hardy

Company Consultant

With over 20 years' experience Alex is an award-winning educator Monday-Friday, travelling all over the country. Working with us at The Vault every other Saturday, his diary is often fully booked with loyal clients.

Sylwia Donczyk

Company Consultant

Senior stylist with over 28 years of experience. An extension and balayage specialist, Sylwia loves creating sun kissed balayage, with a soft finish to create as natural look as possible. Always trying to look for new techniques and products to make sure her clients receive the best there is to offer.

Jordan Last

Artistic Expert

Jordan has been working in salons since the age of 15, making it to the L’Oréal colour trophy semifinals back in 2020. Developing a strong passion for the industry, Jordan loves to enhance his client’s natural beauty, meaning they leave feeling confident and euphoric. Jordan has recently taken on a new challenge, becoming an educator for the hair brand EVO.

Callum Thayne

Senior Stylist

Callum started at the vault at the age of 15 and has grown his skills and knowledge over the years. Developing his relationships with his clients and his bonds with the creative industry. Gents hair is where Callum thrives, creating precise and sharp cuts for any and all hair styles and types.

Bailey Wylder

Apprentice

Bailey is here to provide the best experience for you whilst you’re at The Vault, from her award winning and relaxing hair wash to the best cup of coffee in the house! Bailey is all set to graduate in 2023 and looks forward to seeing you in her chair.

Front of House
